Recombination Events Shape the Genomic Evolution of Infectious Bronchitis Virus in Europe

چکیده

Infectious bronchitis of chicken is a high morbidity and mortality viral disease affecting the poultry industry worldwide; therefore, better understanding this pathogen utmost importance. The primary aim study was to obtain deeper insight into genomic diversity field infectious virus (IBV) strains using phylogenetic recombination analysis. We sequenced genome 20 randomly selected from seven European countries. After sequencing, we created sequence data set that contained 36 origin isolates 33 vaccine strains. When analyzing these 69 IBV sequences, identified 215 events highlighting some had multiple breaking points. Recombination hot spots were mostly in regions coding for non-structural proteins, nsp2, nsp3, nsp8, nsp12 regions. occurred among different genotypes involved both Ninety percent nearly half showed evidence recombination. Despite low number scattered geographical temporal whole-genome collected Gammacoronaviruses, underlines importance as major evolutionary mechanism IBVs.

Recombination in Avian Gamma-Coronavirus Infectious Bronchitis Virus

Recombination in the family Coronaviridae has been well documented and is thought to be a contributing factor in the emergence and evolution of different coronaviral genotypes as well as different species of coronavirus. However, there are limited data available on the frequency and extent of recombination in coronaviruses in nature and particularly for the avian gamma-coronaviruses where only ...

Emergence of variant avian infectious bronchitis virus in India

Background: Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is the etiological agent of an acute and highly contagious disease. Infectious bronchitis (IB) affects chicken of all ages and poses major economic loses to the poultry industry worldwide. The continuous evolution of the spike protein (S1) of IBV is responsible for the prevalence of many serotypes/genotypes around the world. Multipl...

Multiple Genomic Recombination Events in the Evolution of Saffold Cardiovirus

BACKGROUND Saffold cardiovirus (SAFV) is a new human cardiovirus with 11 identified genotypes. Little is known about the natural history and pathogenicity of SAFVs. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS We sequenced the genome of five SAFV-1 strains which were identified from fecal samples taken from children with viral diarrhea in Beijing, China between March 2006 and November 2007, and analyzed th...

The emergence of Q1 genotype of avian infectious bronchitis virus in Iran, 2019: the first report

Background: Avian infectious bronchitis (IB) is an infectious viral disease of chickens. The effective protection of chickens against many different infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) variants is not achieved unless the circulating genotypes in the region are identified and the cross-protection of the potential of vaccines in use is assessed. Aims:In a monitoring program of IBVs, a new genotype ...

Avian infectious bronchitis virus.

Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is prevalent in all countries with an intensive poultry industry, with the incidence of infection approaching 100% in most locations. Vaccination is only partially successful due to the continual emergence of antigenic variants. At many sites, multiple antigenic types are simultaneously present, requiring the application of multiple vaccines. Although many coun...
